At Meet in Norwood at Thorneycroft Bakery
Norwood Nordic will be leading a ski of the Busted-Thunder Traverse on Feb 1st. We will all meet in Norwood at Thorneycroft Bakery at 8am.
First we will coordinate leaving some vehicles at the top of Thunder Road (end of ski). Then everyone will drive to Busted Arm Draw parking lot (start of ski) in the remaining vehicles. After we have finished the ski at the top of Thunder Road drivers will need to be driven back up to Busted Arm Draw parking lot to retrieve their vehicles. It is a long day so come prepared with plenty of food, water and extra clothes.
Busted-Thunder Nordic Traverse is a 12 mile remote cross country ski trail. You must be prepared for possible adverse weather and strenuous conditions. There are no services or shelters along the entire trail. Trail conditions will be ungroomed in places so bring the appropriate skis and boots for the trail.
